Rotary Peace Fellowship application closes 15 May

Dear District Rotary Peace Fellowship Subcommittee Chair,
As this year’s Rotary Peace Fellowship application deadline approaches on 15 May, we’d like to thank you for promoting the program, and recruiting and working with candidates. There are still a few weeks left for strong candidates to submit an application!

Application process next steps
Candidate applications that meet the eligibility and qualification requirements move forward for reading and scoring by trained Rotary Application Evaluators, who include Rotary Peace Centers Committee members, and Rotary members and peace fellowship alumni who are engaged with the program, experienced in peacebuilding, and knowledgeable about the application review process. Top candidates meet with university representatives for another round of review and scoring. Finalists are selected and approved by The Rotary Foundation Trustees in October and notified by November.

Recruiting all year
You can use the online Resource Center to help promote the Rotary Peace Fellowship and educate prospective candidates all year long. Connecting with prospective candidates between application cycles gives them time to thoroughly consider the opportunity and how the fellowship will increase the impact of their peacebuilding work. They can research which Rotary Peace Center is the best fit for them and gain additional experience if needed.

Both Rotary Peace Fellowship programs are uniquely structured to develop the capacity of dedicated peacebuilders at different stages of their careers through the lens of Rotary values and areas of focus. Rotary members and donors can be proud of the more than 1,800 peace fellows who have become expert practitioners working together towards a more peaceful world.

Sincerely,
The Rotary Peace Centers team
